The Hayden Congregational Church will host a few events that everyone is welcome to attend. The Advent Soup and Scripture event is from 5 to 7 p.m. and if anyone is interested in helping decorate the church and the Christmas tree, decorating starts at 3:30 p.m.

Fly fishing group to host annual holiday meeting
Yampa Valley Fly Fishers’ annual holiday meeting will be Wednesday at Rex’s American Grill & Bar.
There will be pizza and appetizers starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a talk by Cameron Cipponeri, of Frying Pan Anglers, who will speak about fishing the Roaring Fork Valley. Cipponeri has been guiding for more than 15 years and spends the offseason giving presentations about the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork watersheds.
Everyone is encouraged to bring three flies to decorate Christmas tree, which will be raffled off following the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
Hot chocolate, cookies and Santa featured at event
Hales Landscape Supply will have free hot chocolate and cookies and Santa will be on hand from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Integrated Community is seeking volunteer tutors
Integrated Community/Comunidad Integrada is seeking volunteers for its adult and youth English tutoring programs.
Volunteers are trained and matched with either an immigrant student in need of academic support or a limited-English-speaking community member, depending on preference.
