Finalists unveiled for this year’s CIPD People Management Awards
The shortlist for this year’s CIPD People Management Awards, sponsored by Resource Management, has been revealed.
Judges once again received a record number of entries, showcasing outstanding and innovative achievements in people management and development.
The 2016 shortlist (below) contains a host of leading names from both the public and private sector and celebrates everything from health and wellbeing, to L&D, diversity and inclusion, and individual outstanding achievement.
The winners will be chosen from the shortlist by an expert panel of judges and announced at an awards dinner on 27 September 2016, which will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
Peter Cheese, chief executive of the CIPD, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 20 years of the People Management Awards this year. We continue to see an extraordinary variety of innovative and creative entries every year, and 2016 has been no different.
“Flexibility is incredibly important in the modern workplace, with more generations than ever working side by side and the rise of the ‘sandwich generation’ with caring responsibilities. Organisations increasingly need to adapt their people management, job design, workplace practices and culture – not only will it help engage and retain great employees, it can improve productivity and benefit businesses in the longer term. It’s very encouraging to see an understanding of these evolving contexts among so many of the shortlisted organisations, and they should all be congratulated on their achievements for the profession.”
