CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Comprehensive High School showcased Wednesday night its Automotive Technology program.

Former and current students displayed the cars they’ve worked on at a open house that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Auto Tech Program.

Chicopee’s Career Tech Education Director Kenneth Widelo told 22News the program is small, but hands-on, so it can prepare students for jobs in the auto industry.

“An auto technician student can go become an automobile designed, an engineer, so it gives them those basic tools they need to understand the basic operations of automobiles,” Widelo said.
