Racked, the fashion site owned by Vox Media, is building out its editorial team under new editor in chief Britt Aboutaleb, who joined in January from Yahoo.
Aboutaleb has hired Ellie Krupnick as executive editor. Krupnick, who starts on April 18, comes from Mic.com, where she served as editorial director of lifestyle. She has also worked at The Huffington Post as a senior editor. Krupnick replaces the spot left open by Izzy Grinspan who left for New York Magazine’s The Cut in July.
Elana Fishman, a former executive digital editor from People Style Watch, will join Racked as entertainment editor starting April 4.
Racked has also added Annemarie Dooling, Vocativ’s head of growth, as engagement editor. Corey Baldwin, a former digital editor from Time Inc.’s Departures, has signed on as shopping editor, and will begin on April 25.
Meanwhile, Eliza Brooke, a senior editor from Fashionista, joined Racked as senior reporter in late March.
Aboutaleb has also tapped Cheryl Wischhover, who served as beauty editor at large for Fashionista, as Racked’s new beauty writer. Wischhover, who starts her new gig on April 4, has penned stories for Cosmopolitan, Elle and Glamour.
