PIPPA MIDDLETON TURNS DESIGNER: Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, has teamed up with British designer Tabitha Webb to design a dress and scarf, with the profits from the sale of the designs going toward the British Heart Foundation charity, of which Middleton is an ambassador.
Both garments spotlight the same red, pink and purple floral print, which takes its inspiration from summer blossoms. The pattern appears on the silk, cap-sleeved tea dress that Middleton and Webb designed, and the lightweight modal and cashmere scarf.
The limited edition designs are currently being sold at Tabitha Webb’s store in Belgravia and at her e-commerce site, tabithawebb.co.uk. The dress retails for 295 pounds, or $451, and the scarf for 95 pounds, or $145.
Middleton commented that with the design project, she had “wanted to do something different and exciting on behalf of this inspiring charity.”
And alongside her design project, Middleton will take part in the British Heart Foundation’s 40th annual London to Brighton Bike Ride June 21, to raise money for the charity.
