Milan’s leg of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is scheduled to run on Sept. 20, the evening before the city’s Fashion Week kicks off. This is the eighth edition of the shopping and charity event, which this year will not be held in Rome or Florence, as it was in the past.
“Milan is a city in constant growth and is receiving a lot of attention from the fashion world,’’ said Franca Sozzani, editor in chief of Vogue Italia. “Everyone could virtually participate at the event, through social media. Last year there were 19,000 posts on different social networks.’’
Among the appointments at VFNO, Martini will hold a photo exhibition of four young photographers chosen by the magazine’s section Photo Vogue; e-tailer Zalando will open a temporary brick-and-mortar store; Hugo Boss Parfums will organize a unique olfactory path for the launch of its new women’s fragrance, Scent for Her; coffee company Illy has asked young designers to “dress up” its cans, with the best designs to be shown in an exhibition at Palazzo Morando, and QVC will present a number of up-and-coming Italian designers. VFNO will also create limited-edition objects to raise funds to support the project ‘’Monsino Donna’’ for women with cardiovascular risk factors.
