The term Ladies Who Lunch is one of fashion’s most bandied-about expressions. While the latest crop of Millennial fashion plates might have more on their agendas these days — and long, leisurely lunches are a thing of the past — the handbags most commonly associated with the look isn’t. For spring, Tory Burch’s ode to East Coast/West Coast prep offered a traditional pink and green paisley style that looks plucked from a Palm Beach vintage store. Elisabeth Weinstock took a page from the Audubon Society’s playbook with a hand-painted bird theme on python, while Marni’s austere case nodded a bit more toward briefcase. After all, these bags mean business, too.
