Take Our Poll
At midnight Tuesday, Oct. 1, the health care mandate took effect, which requires all Americans to have health care coverage.

The health care marketplace is now open, and the Kaiser foundation has created a calculator to illustrate health insurance premiums and subsidies for people purchasing insurance on their own in new health insurance exchanges (or “Marketplaces”) created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Polling has shown that Americans had previously heard more negative than positive things about the ACA, though as the insurance exchanges opened, reports began to flood social media that people were happy with the options.

Share your experience here. Is the price better? Will you be more likely to go to the doctor now? Is this less of an opportunity? Are you concerned you can’t afford the rates? Do you still feel uniformed?

The health insurance calculator is below the comment form.
