Mount Rainier: Camp out near a famous mountain

Washington's most iconic volcano is calling. Come join us for a day of work on trails near White River. We're working Friday-Sunday every weekend in July and into August. If you'd like to camp and join us for the full weekend, we'd love to have you--just let know when you sign up.

Liberty Lake Regional Park

The Liberty Lake Loop trail is a popular location for folks in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. WTA is helping improve the 7.5-mile loop so that hikers can more easily access a gorgeous waterfall and a lovely large cedar grove. We'll be tackling tread repair and realigning the trail here. You'll work in dappled sunlight near a bubbling clear stream--pretty idyllic conditions.

Mount Spokane Weekend

The trails on Mount Spokane are used year-round, and as a result, they require heavy maintenance to withstand the continual foot/tire/hoof traffic. For this project we are doing brushing, drainage and tread work. This is a weekend work party, so lodging and a potluck dinner are available Saturday night.

Central Cascades: Lots of locations that need love

If you haven't explored the Central Cascades, take the opportunity to do so this summer on a day long volunteer work party. With destinations like the Lake Dorothy trail, as well as Meadow Creek andTunnel Creek, you'll have the opportunity to thoroughly check out the trails here.

Olympics: Join the weekday warriors

Whether you're working on drainage in Notch Pass, repairing tread at Lena Lake, or annual maintenance on the Upper Big Quilcene and Duckabush trails, you'll be helping clear the way for hikers to enjoy popular destinations like Marmot Pass and Upper Lena Lake. Come as often as you like; there's always room on a weekday work party.

Southwest Washington: Pulaskis and potlucks

On the last weekend of each month, our southwest Washington crews host weekend work parties. You'll work the trail during the day, then retire to camp for a potluck BBQ. WTA provides the main dishes, you provide your favorite sides.

Can't make both days? That's OK, just let us know which day you'll be joining us when you sign up.

Klickitat Trail

July 25 -26

Come for one or both days to lend a hand restoring this historic ridge route. The trail needs some brushing. and in places the tread has narrowed and needs to be re-dug to standard width. You'll work and camp in the scenic Cowlitz River Valley, near the Goat Rocks wilderness.
