The Oconee County Public Library welcomes Emily Embry as the new Branch Manager to the Walhalla Library. “Emily is coming to us from Crater Lake National Park in Oregon where she was the Librarian for the Crater Lake Science and Learning Center. Emily earned her Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2013 and has a background in Museums and Archives. While living in Texas she served as the Project and Tour Coordinator for The Women’s Museum, as well as working for The Hockaday School as the Archives Manager during its Centennial celebration. Although she is new to the area, Emily has lived in the South Carolina low country where her family is from, and where she attended middle school and part of high school,” said Oconee County Public Library Branch Services Librarian Blair Hinson.
