ROANOKE (WSLS10) – The successful WSLS 10 Shred-A-Thon is coming to five cities in five weeks to help protect the identity of thousands of Virginians.

WSLS 10 is again partnering with Kodiak Shredding and Schewels in its fourth “Shred-A-Thon” event. Through the previous three, nearly one million pounds of documents have been shredded and recycled.

From April 25 through May 23, all Virginians can come to the designated locations to have their sensitive information securely shredded.

“This is a free service and open to all people and businesses,” said WSLS 10 General Manager Garry Kelly. “We’re here to help keep personal information safe and also keep the area green. None of this material ends up in a landfill.”

All residents and businesses are welcomed, and encouraged, to visit each WSLS 10 Shred-A-Thon site.

Each Monday event will last from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.

April 25 — Schewels – 485 E. Nelson St, Lexington
