12 polishes in one post? There’s a reason it took me a little while to get all my swatches done for the OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2015 Collection*, since the OPI Infinite Shine Soft Shades Collection (here) and the OPI Venice Fall 2015 Collection (here) all showed up around the same time. As a result, I had a ton of gorgeous polish to share with you, and decided to go in reverse order and share Fall first, but luckily these shades appear to be permanent so if you find one you want–and with 12 shades, there’s bound to be at least one–it’s not too late to pick it up.
OPI Infinite Shine Bee Mine Forever is a pastel yellow with a surprisingly good formula given its shade. Still, it was a tiny bit uneven with 2 coats. To me, this is really an Eastery shade, it reminds me of a baby chick!
OPI Infinite Shine Enter The Golden Era is a light gold. These kinds of shades are not my favourite, it’s still a bit streaky and sheer with 2 coats, and also has a some frostiness to it.
OPI Infinite Shine Follow Your Bliss is a baby pink cream polish that’s quite cheerful and has a great 2-coater formula.
OPI Infinite Shine Lavendurable is a very pale lilac which is quite opaque in 2 coats but a little uneven. I still think this shade is quite soft and lovely!
OPI Infinite Shine Patience Pays Off is a very white-based pale pink with a hint of grey to it. I was actually surprised by how much I liked this fairly bridal shade, but it applies really nicely with 2 coats and looks quite flattering.
OPI Infinite Shine Purpletual Emotion is a dark purple cream that looks a lot brighter in the bottle than it did when I applied it. I still think it’s gorgeous, and the fact that it’s a bit darker makes it even better for Fall. It’s got an even, opaque formula that looks flawless with 2 coats.
OPI Infinite Shine S-ageless Beauty is a pale key lime green that requires 3 coats for an even, opaque application.
OPI Infinite Shine Silver on Ice is a metallic silver that’s actually almost opaque in one coat, although I went with two. My main issue is the usual with similar shades, too frosty and too many brushstrokes.
OPI Infinite Shine The Sun Never Sets is a peachy orange cream that would be perfect if it was actually still summer, but could still maybe work for Halloween? The formula isn’t bad, opaque in 2 coats and a tiny bit uneven. My ridged nails just don’t forgive!
OPI Infinite Shine To Be Continued… is a pastel perwinkle cream that’s absolutely gorgeous, from formula to coverage to shade. That’s two coats and I love it.
OPI Infinite Shine Wild Blue Yonder is a bright bold medium blue cream. I love this shade and it’s the first one I reached for out of the OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2015 Collection. I wore it to Toronto for IMATS and did notice a bit of staining when I removed it, as often happens with these shades of blue, but it was incredibly pigmented and had a gorgeous formula. I could basically get away with 1 coat, but I went with 2 for a more even finish.
OPI Infinite Shine You’re Blushing Again is a rosy nude pink cream with a good formula that applies opaque and even with 2 coats. Not really a shade I would reach for myself but can’t complain about application.
Well that’s it for the OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2015 Collection, time to give my cuticles a little break before the next round of swatching! Not every shade was a success for me, but there are some really lovely ones in here that definitely don’t need to be restricted to the summer months. My personal picks are the OPI Infinite Shine in Wild Blue Yonder, To Be Continued…, Purpletual Emotion and Patience Pays Off. What’s your favourite shade?
