Once the weather starts to warm up, there’s something so nice about just using a lightweight BB Cream with SPF, so I was pretty excited to add the Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream in Fair to my routine.
The Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream comes in a squeeze tube in the classic red Clarins packaging. It contains SPF 25 and although I always pair with a sunscreen, I really appreciate SPF in my makeup. I appreciate that this Clarins even has the expiration date printed right on it so you know when you can no longer trust the sunscreen.
The Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream is available in 4 shades, and I have the lightest one, Fair. Although it swatches quite dark, it definitely blends out to a perfect shade match, so I think there’s more flexibility with lighter coverage products. It also has a scent, which I honestly can’t place, maybe just the sunscreen?
The Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream in Fair is oil-free and has a lightweight consistency that easily blends into the skin for a natural matte finish. It overs light coverage that definitely events out my skintone and helps hide redness, but for any major dark circles or blemishes I recommend pairing with a concealer. I do love that you can still see my freckles, and it just feels great on the skin, like wearing an oil-free moisturizer. Although I’m still waiting on the real hot weather test, this does last all day on a regular office day.
For me, the Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream in Fair is the perfect summer foundation. It’s lightweight and makes my skin look like itself, but better (#nomakeupmakeup), and even offers some SPF to help protect it further.
