Hi! My story spans a decade with 3 first person POVs. I want to present it in a Now (present) and Then (past) fashion. Then is composed of POV1 and POV2. Now is composed of POV2 and POV3. Is it realistic to include POV1 if he is dead in the Now? And can you suggest a way that I can present the Now and Then seamlessly? Or examples of novels that are of the same way so I can read and see how the authors did it. Thank you!

Yes–I think it would be fine if your “then” section contains the POV of a character who will not be around in the “now” section. And, actually, the fact that POV2 will be in both is a great way to tie both sections together. That should be enough to make it seamless, because through that character, the reader can transition from “then” to “now.”

I’m not aware of any novels written in this way, but keep an eye on the comments in case anyone else can suggest some. :)
