I've got a text I've tried to sort out for some time I could use some help with, when/if time can be spared. If you're just leafing through this or otherwise don't feel up to it, it was cool you stopped by, man. For those of you with a few moments to spare, the verse is played in major but sung in minor, usually in the key of C. Anything you can think of goes, but a refrain or a break or two of some sort would be a nice addition. The soul is melancholic, more a fleeting thing than anything brooding though. Just a wistful observance about the way things change, something thought up when walking home after a good night with a far-away look in your eyes. One of those things you remember when you wake up that doesn't need thinking about but has a certain understated importance, one of the little things that's part dream, part observation, perhaps a little touch of insight.. six, maybe eight seconds long at most, yet it remains with you when the night is gone.

(Wow, got a little sidetracked.. sorry. Here's the lyrics, at last.))

We will find the Savage Garden at the end of the night,

when all them tired starlings close their eyes

Waiting for the morning to come out alive

they sleep the days away hidden in the sky

We'll find the Savage Garden at the end of the night

as Dawn leaves her dark sister behind

She walks into the day with her head held high

but you see her lonely soul when she tries to smile

We will find the Savage Garden behind every closed door

at the end of every dream of every empty floor

every step being taken that's been taken before

in everything that has been cold but is no more

We will find the Savage Garden when it comes around

it moves with the wind and in the right sound

there is no ball and chain that can hold it down

no gold can buy the place where it can be found
