RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — New developments have emerged in the missing University of Maryland (UMD) student case.

UMD Police say 21-year-old Kaitlyn George was seen on security video entering the Baltimore Greyhound bus station back on November 11 at approximately 11:32 a.m.

Kaitlyn then purchased a ticket and at approximately 1:33 p.m., she boarded a bus that was headed to Norfolk, Va. This bus was scheduled to stop at Union Station in D.C., Richmond, Va., and Hampton, Va.

Authorities initially received the missing report back on November 10, after she was scheduled to meet a friend at the Eppley Recreation Center at approximately 5 p.m. to go on a hiking trip. When Kaitlyn did not show up, her friend came to the police station to report her missing.

A witness reported seeing Kaitlyn on a Charm City Circulator bus on November 11 at approximately 8:40 a.m. Investigators interviewed this witness and verified this sighting.

Investigators continue to follow up on investigative leads and tips. Anyone with information on Kaitlyn’s whereabouts is asked to call the University of Maryland Police Department at 301-405-3555.
