RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) — This weekend get a taste of French cuisine, enjoy the great outdoors and let your dog strut his stuff.

Below is a list of events taking place this weekend.

Appomattox RiverFest

Explore your adventurous slide at the Appomattox RiverFest.

This is a family friendly event to celebrate nature and all thing outdoors.

There will be music, food, and different activities for the family.

There will be fishing workshops, kayaking, canoe paddling lessons, trail hikes, and exhibits.

Money from this event will go to Friends of the Lower Appomattox River to promote river conservation.

When: Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

8th Annual RVA French Food Festival

Bonjour mes amis.  It’s time for the RVA French Food Festival.

You will get a chance to experience a little French culture this weekend.  There will be music, wine and of course..food.

This is a fundraising event to support Little Sisters of the Poor, an organization dedicated to taking care of Virginia’s less fortunate elderly.

When: Friday, April 29, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Outstanding Women Awards

The YMCA is honoring women who have made major contributions to the Greater Richmond area at the Oustanding Women Awards.

This is YMCA’s largest fundraising event.  The money raised will go to funding the Child Development Center and services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Red Shoe BBQ

Yee-Haw RVA.  It’s time for a hoedown at The Red Shoe BBQ.

Come dressed in your cutest western outfit and enjoy some bbq and live entertainment.

The event is to raise money for the Ronald McDonald house, and organization that provides homes for families with sick and hospitalized children.

When: Friday, April 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Richmond Arts in the Park

Over 450 artists from across the country will display their work in Byrd Park this weekend for the 45th annual Arts in the Park show.

Come peruse different works from paintings to jewelry to weaving.

Maybe even purchase a new item for your art collection.

The event is presented by the Carillon Civic Association.

When: Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

Salvador Dali: The Argillet Collection

Art enthusiast visits the Chasen Galleries to view the Salvador Dali: The Argillet Collection exhibit.

During this two-day event meet Madame Christine Argillet, Daughter of Dali’s publisher Pierre Argillet.

Salvador Dali was one of the most well-known artist, best known for his work in the surrealist movement.

Works from this collection will be available for acquisition.

When: Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, from 6 pm to 8 p.m.

Until Pieces Fit Autism Craft Show and Fundraiser

The Autism Society of Central Virginia is hosting their 3rd annual Until The Pieces Fit Autism Craft Show fundraiser.

Over 100 crafters and vendors will be on hand.

Children will get the chance to learn safety techniques from local police, fire and EMS teams.

There will also be food provided by Area 16 Special Olympics.

When: Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Woofstock Festival 2016

The Richmond Animal League is hosting a day of fun for the whole family at Woofstock.

Bring fido and the family to enjoy games, food, and live music.

If you would like to expand the size of your family there will also be pets available for adoption.

You can also participate in the Strut Your Mutt dog walk to help raise money for homeless animals.
