Block B

Kenny Omega defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima. This was a hell of a sprint. Omega hit a dragon suplex on the floor early to take control. There was so much energy to this match. Nakajima fought back and pelted Omega with kicks, including a series of thrust kicks as Omega was in the corner. Omega used the dragon suplex a further two times to cut of Nakajima. The finish came when Omega hit a perfect reverse rana and the One Winged Angel. This was great.

EVIL defeated Toru Yano. It was a Yano match, so you know what you get. There were a stack of roll ups, lots of short cuts and as much cheating as Yano could get away with. EVIL gave as good as he got. He nailed Yano up against the ring post as he was in a chair. Yano got some great near falls at the end. EVIL won with the STO after the ref blocked an attempted low blow. That ends the Yano winning streak and gives EVIL a much needed win.

Tetsuya Naito defeated YOSHI-HASHI. This was absolutely great and YOSHI came out looking like a star on defeat. YOSHI went right after Naito at the bell. YOSHI had his taped shoulder worked over. YOSHI had a hell of a counter to Destino and looked great in the last few minutes. They had a really intense forearm battle. YOSHI got the butterfly lock, which Naito survived. YOSHI popped out of a German suplex only to eat a couple of kicks, an inverted DDT and Destino. Another really great match.

Katsuyori Shibata defeated Yuji Nagata. This was awesome. It was stiff, physical and intense. They beat the hell out of each other with kicks, slaps and suplexes. Go out of your way to see this one. Nagata was fired up here. He was going all out and ended up with a bloody mouth. Nagata hit a back drop driver and a PK. Shibata was hell bent on locking in a sleeper and when he eventually did he didn’t release it to hit the PK as he usually does, instead he choked Nagata out. It was a hell of a finish that Nagata sold like death.

Michael Elgin defeated Tomoaki Honma. This was an incredible main event. Elgin used his power and Honma hit more Kokeshi’s than I could count. He even caught an Elgin lariat with one. Elgin hit a Death Valley Driver on the apron, powerbombed Honma into the ring post and brought him back in with a top rope falcon arrow for an incredible near fall. Honma bounced out of a buckle bomb and hit a Kokeshi. A piledriver was followed up with a missed attempt at a top rope Kokeshi. The finishing sequence here was awesome. It saw Elgin hit a sick lariat a powerbomb and an Elgin Bomb. Another killer match from Elgin. He’s been having a hell of a G1.
