Nokia’s City lens is an useful app to discover places like restaurants, hotels, coffee shops and other places of interest. MapMyIndia has now released a similar app for Windows Phones which allows you to discover places in India. Explore, the new app from MapMyIndia, helps you find millions of useful places of interest like ATMs, restaurants, petrol pumps, hospitals etc. around you.
The app is very similar to Nokia City Lens and selects your current location and then provides you with the information you need about the current location. You can pin your favorite hangouts, rate and review popular places around you and follow other explorers.
Using the app, you can virtually search for anything around the location including hotels, banks, ATMS, religious place, coffee shop and more. There is also option to see an activity feed of what others are doing on Explore.
You can also pin your favorite locations to start screen. The app shows complete address, phone number and also the email address (based on whether they are available) for the users. The app is extremely useful if you are in India or planning to visit India. The app is free of cost and can be downloaded from the Windows Phone store.
