She played Fran Drescher’s mother on the hit comedy show “The Nanny.” Now, actress Renee Taylor is taking her one woman show to the stage.

It’s called “My Life On A Diet,” and the show is directed by her husband, Joe Bologna, who is also an actor.

Both actors, Taylor and Bologna, have lived incredibly interesting lives in Hollywood, on TV and on stage.

The show starring Taylor is at The Stadium Theater in Woonsocket, and tickets are still available to this one woman show.

Renee Taylor takes the audience on a trip through her 60+ year career from movies, The Tonight Show, Broadway, & her iconic role as Sylvia, Fran Drescher’s over bearing, food loving mother on the hit TV series, The Nanny and Ted Mosby’s neighbor, Mrs. Matsen, on How I Met Your Mother. Throughout this trip, her Perseverance & DIETING, have been the true constants in her life. The journey includes dieting advise she received from numerous Hollywood luminaries including Joan Crawford and Marilyn Monroe, as well as stories of many other stars she knew and with whom she worked.  This is a heartfelt and humorous journey through time with cameos by film legends via video and photos from Renee’s personal lifetime of remembrances.
