== Hearthstone quiz ==

Heya {{;)}} I've been notified that we've got an ask from Blizzard for a Hearthstone-based quiz that seems to center around the classes in the game. They'll probably provide most of the questions, and I'll likely supply a handful myself.

You can see an example of something similar [http://yardstudio.com/visualdna/wikia-marvel/conv-wikia-marvel-intro.html here] (if it doesn't open in FF, try Chrome, etc.). One thing to note is that there '''will''' be an option to close it out for those that aren't interested in taking it.

==Links to follower pages==

Hey Fandyllic,

[[User:Assey Westfall|Assey Westfall]] brought up an issue with the [[Follower]] page [[Talk:Follower|here]]. The links in the table point to pages following the naming convention ''"NPCname (follower)"''. However, no pages exist following that naming convention. A lot of the existing NPC pages already contain WoD follower-related info where applicable somewhere on their page (this is how I've been integrating new WoD info into existing NPC articles personally). Changing these links to point directly to the NPC pages (without the "(follower)" tag) would activate many links within the follower table which are currently broken. Is this something I can do, or is there a specific reasoning behind having separate "follower" pages for each NPC?

:The main reason I made a distinction between NPC and follower pages is that the tooltips can't show both NPC and follower info at the same time easily. ::Ah, I was wondering if tooltips maybe had something to do with it. Going forward then, would you suggest I keep making pages as I have been and wait until the "follower" template is finalized and working before doing anything differently/creating separate follower pages? For the tooltips, is there a way to extract just the follower-related info from an NPC page? If so, perhaps I can use a standard format for a specific section of an NPC article where all the follower-related info is contained on a page, allowing it to be extracted with ease for the tooltips. I'll keep an eye out for any new follower pages if you create them, and I'll follow whatever format you decide.

As nice as it would be to put everything on one page, it would probably take a massive addition to the {{t|npcbox}} template and someone more clever than me to extract the follower specific content. I think it's doable, but I'm sure I'd muck it up, if I tried it.

== Domain ==

Ah, apologies for not making sure to link Bert's [http://wowwiki.wikia.com/Forum:Domain_update?t=20150519183418 forum post] across all admins earlier (buried in HotS updates). It explains things in greater depth, but the short of it is that they're moving all domains to end with "wikia.com" due to technical reasons. Bert approached me earlier (I wasn't permitted to say anything then) about what name we should go by, and I thought it best to continue using something as close to wowwiki.com, however redundant the url appears. It can be changed, however, if needed, to something else so long as it still ends in wikia.com.

We still "own" the wowwiki.com domain, so people don't have to change their bookmarks and it won't affect rankings or anything like that. [[User:Raylan13|Raylan13]]<staff/> ([[User talk:Raylan13|talk]]) 15:42, May 24, 2015 (UTC)

: Just a heads up. I can't log into WoWWiki directly and I suspect anyone else who's account has an active server-side session can't either, because the domain that their client cookies are tied to, conflict with the wowwiki domain name change. I had to log in through another wiki and had to clear cookies on my end first. Basically I couldn't make any wiki changes, like edit a page, on the server session I had, and couldn't log-out even. Server sessions persist even after days or however long you are allowed to "stay signed in". Others might be having issues and not be able to figure out how to do anything about it and may think are dead in the water. All cookies, and in-part server side sessions, are based on domain name. Just wanted to let you know. They, Facepalm's Wikia buddies, probably want to flush the server session cache, which probably for modern Wikia wikis are persistent between server boots. ::Ah good! I'm glad someone finally explained that, thanks Celess22! I was in the same boat for a few days and was unable to determine why. I thought I was going insane and messed up my account settings in some way. A little embarrassing, actually and I'm really surprised that we didn't receive a more evident/visible warning from Wikia before the change. It's not a good thing that several of us Admins were somewhat "locked out" of the Wiki without a real explanation. Considering this issue potentially affects every single user who is constantly logged into the wiki since before the domain change, would it be worth posting something more visible on the main portal, for example?
