Blackhand forbade her to drink the blood of [[Mannoroth]] as a punishment for her "insolent" ways (or because she was female, it is not clear which). Maim Blackhand is the son of [http://www.wowwiki.com/Blackhand Blackhand the Destroyer], brother of [http://www.wowwiki.com/Rend_Blackhand Rend Blackhand] and [http://www.wowwiki.com/Griselda Griselda].

They all had a short childhood due to Warlocks aging of children, but unlike other Orc parents [http://www.wowwiki.com/Blackhand Blackhand] was happy to put forward his children first for artificial aging. Blackhand forbade [http://www.wowwiki.com/Griselda Griselda] to drink the blood of [[Mannoroth]] as a punishment for her "insolent" ways (or because she was female, it is not clear which).

* The birth of Garona was orchestrated by [http://www.wowwiki.com/Gul%27dan Gul'dan], who "bred" one of his orcish warriors to a [[draenei]] female (which implies rape). The result was a child that, as discovered later, looked surprisingly [http://www.wowwiki.com/Human human]. Gul'dan had her magically aged and tortured, [http://www.wowwiki.com/Garona_Halforcen#cite_note-comic23-4 [5]] also placing controls on her mind later to ensure obedience. Garona was raised in barracks with her father's people and hated by the bigger orcs for being different. Their judgements of her being "ugly and deformed" would reflect how she felt about herself for years to come. Her birth mother's brother however, the [http://www.wowwiki.com/Vindicator Vindicator] [http://www.wowwiki.com/Maraad Maraad], did not care that Garona was half orc. Having learned his sister had borne a child, he began searching for his niece, a search that would stretch on for many years.

* The Burning Blade is not a clan as much as it is an elemental force of nature. Chaotic and unpredictable, the Burning Blade is a brotherhood of demented orcs whose only objective is to raze and plunder with no regard for their own safety. This leaderless swarm is held in check by the ogres - to be unleashed by the clans in times of urgent duress. The Burning Blade holds loyalty to no one and will attack any that they perceive to be a threat - even their fellow orcs.

* Blackhand has assigned you to an outpost in the Swamps of Sorrow. Your task is simple enough that even the War Chief feels you are capable of it.
