Raiders of the Lost Orc is a raiding guild with a strong social side that was started as a place for mature players to have fun working together as a team. We firmly believe that as a group working co-operatively we can achieve far more than we can individually; not only that but we can make friends, learn each other’s play-styles, and have a damned good time along the way!

Raiders of the Lost Orc is a raiding guild with a strong social side that was formed in November 2006 as a place for mature players to have fun working together as a team. We firmly believe that as a group working co-operatively we can achieve far more than we can individually; not only that but we can make friends, learn each other’s play-styles, and have a damned good time along the way!

This guild is not chasing epic items for the sake of it. Gear is a means to an end - never the end itself. We aim to gear our players in order to achieve more for the guild, and bring ever-more-difficult encounters into the realms of possibility. We love seeing other dedicated players receiving new and more powerful items as it will help all of us. We never begrudge them their gear even if we could have used it ourselves. Their triumphs are ours as we will either fail or succeed together as a team. 'Who gets it first?' or 'Where is mine?' are not questions our raiders ask. How can I help the guild to take the next step up? Now that’s a better question. We want to carry our guild’s name into the deepest and darkest dungeons, and to do that we need a committed and skilful team bristling with the best gear we can gather.

Raiding is not compulsory in this guild, but most of us really enjoy it; if your gear, skill and teamwork are good enough then we'd love you to come along. There really is nothing like finally downing a new boss surrounded by the same team and the same friends who have been standing by your side the whole way. You know that they have relied on you every bit as much as you have relied on them. There’s a real sense of shared achievements in this guild because no one person is enough to make a successful raid; instead everyone needs to shoulder their share of the workload. Players who cannot offer this will be asked to concentrate on their personal contribution until they are ready to bring more to the raid than they gain from it.

We class ourselves as a high-end 10-man guild. We are currently the top alliance guild on the service for both strict 10-man progression and strict 10-man achievements according to [http://www.guildox.com/go/g.asp?a=4&s=1&r=Dragonblight-EU&w= Guildox]. We may introduce a 25-man raid every 3-4 weeks in the near future, but this will not be at the cost of our 10-man focus. Our current aims are both to down every 10-man encounter in the game (we're working on hardmodes, having already achieved this on normal mode) and to earn as many 10-man achievements as possible to stretch and test ourselves.

+

We're not into drama, and we're not into faceless guildies. We currently have about 60 accounts in the guild (raiders and social members), keeping it small and friendly. Our guildies often do lots together outside of raiding - heroics, achievements, social events (in-game AND IRL - optional ) and that's the way we like it. RoTLO is just over 15% female and the average age of our members is around 30. The majority of our guildies are from the UK and Ireland, though we also have a strong European component with guildies hailing from the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and Switzerland. We even have a guildie from Australia!

We currently raid 2-3 times a week for farming gear and progression raids. At the moment that includes Onyxia 10, ToTC10 and Ulduar 10. We also run an Ulduar 10 run once a week where possible that is intended both for mains that couldn't make it/didn't get a spot on the main guild run in that week, and for well-geared alts. Our raid days vary depending on when our raiders are available but we usually raid from 8 to 11 server time.

+

We are a level 25 10-man social raiding guild. In Wrath we were top alliance guild on the server for both strict 10-man progression and strict 10-man achievements according to [http://www.guildox.com/go/g.asp?a=4&s=1&r=Dragonblight-EU&w= Guildox]. We cleared all normal content in WoTLK and Cataclysm, reaching 8/12 ICC heroic and 2/8 DS heroic. We are aiming for even better progress in Mists of Pandaria. Our current aims are both to down every 10-man encounter in the game and to earn as many 10-man achievements as possible to stretch and test ourselves.

+

We raid 2-3 times a week for farming gear and progression raids. We tend to raid Thursdays and Mondays and if we decide to hold an extra raid this is usually on Sunday or Tuesday. We usually raid 7.45-11ST but we sometimes start and finish 30 mins earlier on Sundays for a bit more shut-eye before going back to work on Mondays!

The guild is intended for mature people of 18-years-old and over as we do not censor ourselves in guild chat.

The most important thing though is that you're right for us and we're right for you. If you enjoying raiding to the best of your ability with a committed team around you, hanging out with a bunch of great people, having fun and testing your skills in the most challenging dungeons we might well be the guild for you!

Originally part of another guild, after the absence of said guild’s leader had allowed RotLO’s member to taste what a progressive, happy and well run guild was it was enevitable that one day a new guild would splinter away from its parent. Amongst many ups and downs, trials and tribulations eventually there emerged a guild that, although relatively new in WoW terms and as yet, untried, knew where it wanted to be and how it was going to get there.

Led by Rahven and other officers and members who shared the vision, RotLO forged a deep alliance with Liberalis whose members are now part of the guild. In the early days the idea had been a small, friendly guild of people who would help one another and group once in a while. However, overwhelmed by the numbers of others who joined them it became clear that the guild had found its feet, its direction and its spirit.

Deeply entrenched in the guild’s values is that it should be a home for all who are willing to work together for a common goal and for the common good of the guild and all its members. We firmly believe that a co-operative approach every one can benefit and all share in the success of achievement. As a team we really can go that extra mile.

Raiders of the Lost Orc has killed every 10-man WoTLK boss on normal mode and we are now working on hardmodes. So far, we have taken down Flame Leviathan, XT-002 and Thorim on hardmode.

Raiders of the Lost Orc are currently recruiting a handful of exceptional players to help support our raiding progress. Recruitment is also open for social players.

+

+

We are looking for a select few who will bring a lot to the guild outside of their raid performance - we're after committed, mature players who know how to have fun and work as part of a well-ordered team. Although we're looking for highly skilled players, we're not looking for that at the cost of everything else. We're looking for good all-rounders who can perform well but also want to get involved, get to know people, form close bonds and be a full and important part of the guild.

+

+

You will form part of our raiding team and round out our options. You won't get a guaranteed spot on every raid, but we are recruiting to make sure that the success of our guild runs never rests on any individual's shoulders. We are building a team where players can swap in and out depending on availability and we need new players to enable us to do that.

+

+

We're currently looking for 3-4 great people, particularly those who play tank or DPS, to ensure we retain a stable raiding core to enable us to reach our full potential. Warlocks, hunters, DKs and monks are particularly underrepresented currently.
