Mendelssohn’s effervescent Violin Concerto, and Haydn’s Symphony No. 101 his famous ‘Clock’ symphony, feature the WCO at its finest.

The Whitewater Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Christopher Ramaekers will be performing Dvorak’s New World Symphony paired with An Outdoor Overture by the iconic American composer Aaron Copland. Concerto competitionwinner Jennifer Jones will be featured playing the Saint-Saens Morceau de Concert for horn.
Ramaekers is the winner of the 2011 American Prize in Orchestral Conducting, and is currently Principal Conductor of the Ravenswood Community Orchestra and Director of Orchestras at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Chris has been Music Director of the Orchestra of St. Vincent’s and the Hyde Park Youth Symphony and the summer of 2013 marked his fourth season as Director of Orchestras at Camp Encore/Coda in Sweden, Maine. As a guest conductor, Chris has appeared with the Kalamazoo Symphony, North Shore Chamber Orchestra, Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra, the Alice Millar Brass Ensemble, ensemble dal niente, the Palomar Ensemble, and the Chicago Opera Vanguard.
