If Hermione Granger had gotten ahold of a laptop instead of a wand, she’d likely be one of those idealistic, over-achiever young Muggles powering the world in Silicon Valley. The Circle, an adaptation of Dave Eggers’ dystopian sci-fi novel directed by James Ponsoldt, offers Emma Watson her chance.

In a plot familiar thousands of rock-climbing, Bi-Rite-frequenting denizens of San Francisco, Mae Holland (Watson), a recent college grad, gets a job at The Circle, a tech company laden with organic snacks, ping-pong tables, and nerdy humor. But The Circle’s commitment to transparency—the company’s motto is “Secrets are Lies”—masks the ambitions of its founders (including Bailey, played by Tom Hanks) for a complete surveillance state. It’s up to Mae and her co-worker Kalden (John Boyega) to navigate just what the Internet can do.

The novel, authored by resident Bay Area tech satirist (or curmudgeon) Dave Eggers, offers a dark vision of the web, transparency, and ambition. (Eggers also wrote A Hologram for the King, which Tom Hanks adapted into a movie where he played another middle-aged white guy in tech—that time, one considerably less self-satisfied.) Watch as the trailer transitions from Facebook recruitment video to Black Mirror in a matter of seconds, all to ominous orchestral swells—but be sure not to look the Internet in the eye while you do it.

The Circle hits theaters April 28, 2017.

How are you preparing for the last few days before the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? Practicing your Force choke? Painting your Dianoga costume? Thinking of the punny headlines you’ll use—”Rogue Wan”? “Rogue Won”?—that you’ll use for your next-day review? Those are all noble tasks! But you may also want to dedicate a few minutes to this latest international trailer, which features a few cool new shots of stormtroopers getting blasted, some nifty X-wing X-cursions, and an AT-AT getting its ATs handed to it. Light it up!

It’s been more than two years since Guardians of the Galaxy got moviegoers hooked on Marvel’s gang of wily space-explorers—and if the first full trailer for 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is any indication, you can expect even Gamora action, adventure, and interstellar wise-assery the second time around. The trailer, which you can watch above, features all of your laser-brained heroes—including Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Dave Bautista as Drax—as well as some toothy monsters, a dogged dogfight, and, of course, Baby Groot, who adorably almost blows everyone up. Can the Guardians battle the bad guys while still keeping their band of ne’er-do-wells together? Will director James Gunn find even more ’70s soft-rock gems for the soundtrack? And how many one-liners will Rocket Raccoon get in the first 10 minutes alone? We’ll find out when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens May 5.
