Iran is getting nervous. They had years of a weak Obama and they thought that vacation would last forever. Heck if Hillary won it probably would have.
But you can tell how nervous they are by their reactions to Trump and more importantly by Trump’s response to their threats
Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei sneered at Trump during Iran annual celebrations of the Islamic Revolution.
Tehran warned the US that there are “dark days ahead” as thousands chanted “Down with USA” and “Death to America.”
Ali Akbar Velayati, foreign-affairs adviser for the Ayatollahi, said “Washington does not dare carry out its military threats against Iran.”
“The Americans know very well that Iran and its allies in the region would retaliate very hard, that will make America face dark days to come.”
Iran’s President Rouhani leveled a more direct threat saying, “anyone who speaks to Iranians with the language of threats regret it.”
President Trump flying on Air Force One to Florida responded with an epic one liner that couldn’t have been better if it was written and delivered by Clint Eastwood playing a president.
“He better be careful,” Trump said.
Speak softly and carry a big stick. It’s beautiful to watch after Obama’s failures.
