It is a big deal if you or any of your closest family members have been involved in any act involving plagiarism. But of course, this does not concern Democrats.

VIA Conservative Tribune

That’s the message from the Democrat National Convention, where more plagiarism went on than at theRepublican National Convention. There was, of course, Barack Obama’s copying of Donald Trump Jr.’s speech. Then there was Joe Biden’s line copped from Kanye: “We ain’t going nowhere but got suits and cases / A trunk full of coke, rental car from Avis.” (I may have been asleep for one of these speeches.)

But I certainly wasn’t asleep when Hillary Clinton gave her speech last night, and copied from an author most Americans know by heart.

“But here’s the sad truth,” Hillary said. “There is no other Donald Trump…This is it. And in the end, it comes down to what Donald Trump doesn’t get: that America is great — because America is good.”

That’s an amazing line! In fact, it sounds almost like one her husband used back in 1994, according to Sean Hannity:

“I believe fundamentally in the common sense and the essential core goodness of the American people,” Bill said. “Don’t forget that Alexis de Tocqueville said a long time ago that America is great because America is good; and if America ever ceases to be good, she will no longer be great.”

Wow, she plagiarized her husband from back in 1994… who took it off of Alexis de Tocqueville back in 1835. Except Bill quoted him:

“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers — and it was not there,” de Tocqueville wrote. “(I)n her fertile fields and bound less forests — and it was not there. . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce — and it was not there … in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution — and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

Now, granted, one can’t expect Bill Clinton to have read that and memorized it all. After all, during his study of “Democracy in America” in Political Science 101 back at the University of Arkansas, he probably saw the words “fertile,” “supple” and “ample” and told his study partner he needed to run to the bathroom for indigestion.

However, let’s face facts — this proves that the whole “plagiarism” story during the convention season was a predictable plot to try and direct attention away from Donald Trump’s nomination.

There are plenty of boilerplate thoughts about what constitutes plagiarism, especially after Melania Trump echoed the same universal thoughts that Michelle Obama had herself echoed several years before.

All mainstream media must pay equal attention to what some candidates take from others. It is a simple thought, yet lefties seem to have a hard time understanding this.

It is clear that both candidates borrow material for their speeches from other sources, but, Melania Trump is not a presidential nominee like Hillary Clinton.
