Project day 1 here in Baton Rouge is officially a wrap! All of our groups arrived safely this afternoon in the midst of some dreary looking skies and were able to move into their lodging facilities quickly! Our host church, Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, has been amazing helping us with set up and check-in today! We are so thankful for all they have done and will be doing for us this week.

Sterling Wood Baptist Church from Houston, TX
We had a blast at the Welcome Celebration and the mayor of Baton Rouge, Kip Holden, visited us during that time. He let us know that he is so appreciative of everything our groups will be doing in this community this week and he took the time to pray with us for our project and the city of Baton Rouge. We also had our first crew chats, and trained for our positions this week. The Gathering was a wonderful time of worship and digging into God’s word. We can’t wait to see the students in action at their work sites tomorrow and witness them live, love, and speak boldly!
