An initiative to position Qatar as a core knowledge centre for the aluminium technology in the Middle East has been launched.
Hydro Aluminium, Qatalum and the Qatar University Centre for Advanced Materials (CAM) aim to make the aluminium production process more efficient by bridging the gap between academia and the aluminium industry.
“This partnership exemplifies Qatalum’s commitment to facilitate a knowledge based economy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. By bringing such expertise here, Qatalum is enabling Qatar to become an aluminium technology leader within the GCC,” said Khalid Mohamed Sultan Larem, Deputy CEO at Qatalum.
