(Midtown Manhattan, New York, NY) UX Designer
MLS Digital is looking for an experienced UX designer to join our development team. We are responsible for creating and operating twenty separate web properties (MLSSoccer.com and nineteen club sites), a real-time second screen match experience (https://golazo.mlssoccer.com), a growing set of APIs, and the infrastructure that powers it all.
Our mission is to make MLSsoccer.com and our club properties the best digital sports experience in the world.
We are a small, but growing team, made up mostly of developers. With two new products launching later this year, we have started to place a greater focus on the quality of the experiences we create. As our first full-time designer, you will have a major impact on the success of our products and will set the design direction of the team.
Some of the work you will get to dig into immediately:
Define MLSSoccer.com's design language for use across all of our web, mobile web, and mobile app interfaces.
Help us realize our goal of making Golazo (our new real-time match experience) the best second screen experience in sports.
Lead the design process on a new web property the team is currently building.
Prototype and iterate on new features for the league and club properties.

Be able to rapidly prototype ideas in a static design tool and take them all the way to front-end code (HTML/CSS) to flesh them out.
Have a portfolio of past work you are proud to show off.
Be able to motivate the whys of a design beyond ldquo;it looks cool rdquo;.
Be a student of good software UX and work to continuously get better. Love what you do.
