Kern Community College DistrictDatabase Administrator IThe Information Technology department at the Kern Community College District (KCCD) is seeking a self-motivated Database Administrator I to help fulfill Information Technologys vision of being an integral partner in creating and delivering innovative and effective IT services to meet the needs of our 25,000 students and 1500 employees. We are looking for someone who is results oriented, can identify key components of a problem and formulate solutions and has the ability to prioritize and complete tasks to deliver effective technology solutions within required time frames.Youll work with a Database Administrator II designing, implementing, tuning and maintaining a variety of database systems, application servers and enterprise application software. Youll initially be working on our MS SQL Server infrastructure consolidation project, while responsibilities for other systems are transitioned to you. Youll also be working closely with the Operations team (Analyst/Programmers) whom are responsible for supporting our ERP, reporting and related systems.The current environment consists of MS SQL Server, Oracle 11G RDBMS, mySql, Oracle Fusion Middleware 11G, PL/SQL and Apache Tomcat running on HP-UX, Redhat Linux and Windows Servers.
