(Chicago) 50,000feet, a Chicago-based creative agency, is looking for a motivated and skilled Senior PHP Developer to take a leading position on our development team. The role focuses on expert application development (web and mobile) for Fortune 500 clients using a variety technologies like PHP, Zend, Magento, Drupal, HTML5 CSS3, Java, C#, XML.

Our new Senior PHP Developer will be an integral part of a dynamic and cross-functional team that focuses on development and maintenance of a variety of custom web applications, e-commerce implementations and content-managed websites. You won't be alone. As a knowledgeable and experienced pro, you will join a team of experienced engineers in an agency atmosphere. You will have the ability to contribute to development new standards, procedures or tools to support practice growth and overall quality. The senior developer is expected to have a high level of competency in the technologies we use in order to be able to work independently when needed.

Education and Employment - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience. - 3-5 years of experience coding web applications using: PHP5+, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, HTML5, CSS3.- 3-5 years of related work experience developing, testing and deploying websites and applications, especially e-commerce and content managed systems using secure server transactions.- Experience designing and architecting scalable and high-performing, consumer-facing web applications.

Technical Experience - Strong experience with:- LAMP stack- Major PHP frameworks, especially Zend- MVC style development generally- Implementation experience with Magento (Magento Enterprise is a plus).- Implementation experience with Drupal.=- Ability to write database optimized code and perform DBA responsibilities for MySQL.- Routine use of SVN for version control (we use Beanstalk and Git).- Experience developing projects that are structured as either traditional waterfall or Agile.
