GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) – Two people have died in Ottawa County in connection with having the flu, health officials told 24 Hour News 8.
Details about the victims and when the deaths occurred are unknown.
There have been 14 confirmed such cases in Ottawa County from October 2013 to January 2014, and six cases from Jan. 1 to Jan. 28.
These latest deaths bring the total number of flu-related deaths in West Michigan for this current flu season to 11 –
Four in Kent County
Three in Kalamazoo County
One in Van Buren County
One in Barry County
