National Basketball Association: GS vs. LAL

Golden State Warriors (4-1, 3-0 away) at Los Angeles Lakers (2-3, 1-0 home)

November 4, 2016- 10:30 PM ET (TV ESPN) STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA

Late night NBA action will take us out to Staples Center on Friday as emotions will be high as the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers will tip it off on the hardwood in a Pacific Division matchup that has the following betting lines;

Best Warriors Lines: MyBookie Spread (-10.5) ML “See Live Odds”

Best Lakers Lines: BetOnline Spread (+10.5) ML “See Live Odds”

Over/Under: 5Dimes 226.5

The mighty Warriors lead by Kevin Durant and Steph Curry will invade the Staples Center floor seeking to pull of another huge win as they have captured their last four games, so let’s see if former Golden State assistant coach Luke Walton can motivate his young but talented Laker squad to pull off the major upset?

After dropping their season-opener, the Warriors (4-1) have seemed to recapture their winning ways as they looked mighty impressive on Thursday when they embarrassed the once-unbeaten Oklahoma City Thunder at home 122-96 behind Durant and his season-high 39 points; 29 which came in the first half.

With their four straight wins, the Warriors have taken back first-place in the Pacific one-half game up on the LA Clippers.

For the Purple and Gold (2-3), they are coming off a big road upset over Atlanta on Wednesday 123-116 as they went 1-3 on their four-game road swing. Veteran Lou Williams led the way for the Lakers with 19 points.

The Atlanta win was huge for the Lakers as these were the types of games in which they became accustomed to losing in season’s past. Now loaded with young talent and energy, the Lakers have showed they can score but can they now play defense; an area that has eluded them to the point of frustration and anger of Laker fans watching.

Let’s see if coach Walton can instill that philosophy into the Lakers going forward?

Listed as doubtful for Friday will be center Timofey Mozgov, who suffered a soft tissue contusion around his left eye against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Friday will mark the first of four meetings for these division foes and though it has been all Golden State of late, the Laker manage to pull-off a 112-95 win over the Warriors last season.

Prediction/Pick

And no doubt with that loss still fresh in the minds of the Warriors, they will be looking for a bit of redemption; something the sportsbooks across the board expect as MyBookie is favoring GS (-10.5) points over LAL, with an over/under of 226.5 total game points scored from 5Dimes.

The Lakers will battle hard but with simply too much fire-power with Golden State, I will favor the Warriors MINUS the points (-10.5) over Los Angeles for the easy win.
