The city is literally filled with things to do; from gourmet dining to
outrageous fun, there’s something to satisfy everyone!
The undeniable thing about Dubai is
that it has an unprecedented amount of great hotels to choose from - I stayed
at the Mall of the Emirates Suite
Novotel, which is a mere five minutes walk from the famous Mall.
The hotel is ideal for families, featuring an outdoor pool, with a
separate kids’ pool, and a 24/7 gym to keep the adults happy!
For those who wish to spend a little less, then right next door you’ll
find the Mall of the Emirates Ibis
hotel; with affordable yet high quality rooms to satisfy every traveller’s
needs.
And of course the hotels are in prime location with the Mall of the Emirates just round the
corner; one of the largest malls in Dubai, it has pretty much everything you
can think of; from dozens of shops, to great restaurants and even a ski slope!
Shopping is of course, one of the main attractions of Dubai; the city is
literally filled with malls, including the famous Dubai Mall; the largest mall in the world! Featuring 1,200 retail
outlets, and so many attractions it would be impossible to mention them all!
It is of course in close proximity to another must-see attraction; The Burj Khalifa - which hold’s the
title of the tallest building on earth! As you journey up to the 127th
floor, your ears begin to pop, and you realise just how high up you really are
- but there’s nothing quite like seeing Dubai from 830m!
But there’s no denying that whatever you’re looking for, you’ll be sure
to find something you’ll enjoy at the renowned Atlantis: The Palm. This gigantic complex has pretty much
everything you could want!
The standout is of course the fantastic hotel; which includes a
luxurious spa with a massive range of beauty and relaxation treatments, golden
sandy beaches exclusively for hotel guests and so much more!
The hotel features a variety of world-class restaurants with every
cuisine imaginable! One of the newest is
the excellent Asia Republic, which
serves up a whole range of fantastic South-Asian influenced dishes, from
dim-sum to crispy duck!
Kids will love the gigantic Lost
Chambers Aquarium, which boasts literally thousands of unique fish that are
all found in the local waters! Families can also take advantage of awesome
behind the scenes tours, which even take you to see the newborn fish!
But when it comes to family entertainment, then nothing can quite beat
the complex’s fantastic water-park Aquaventure!
This huge water-park has a myriad of thrilling waterslides, including The Leap of Faith, which plummets
guests 9 stories down and through an underwater shark tunnel! There’s also the lazy river
that runs through the whole park, so you pretty much never have to leave the
water - there’s even escalators for the dingys!
Another fantastic feature is the magnificent Ray Feeding Experience - you get the chance to get in the water
with stingrays and feed them in a truly wonderful experience!
There’s so much to do in Dubai that
you’d be hard pressed to do it all! But be sure to head down to the Dubai Mall at night and catch one of
the half-hourly fountain shows; the perfect way to end a fantastic day in a
truly fantastic city!
