The Toccoa Falls College Eagle men’s basketball team picks up its first win of the 2013 season.
Last Thursday, TFC defeated Piedmont International University 90-50 at home.
Freshman Nathan Palmer led the Eagles with his first career double-double, scoring 20 points and adding 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Devian Clark chipped in a game-high 22 points and 7 rebounds, while Derek Westfall earned another double-double with 18 points and 10 boards.
Zach Barrett also scored 15 points for the Eagles.
As a team, Toccoa Falls College shot 51 percent from the floor, while holding Piedmont International to 33 percent field goal shooting and outrebounding them 43-26.
With the win, TFC is now 1-10 overall on the year and 1-1 in its region.
The ToccoaFallsCollege men are off until January 9 through January 11, when they will embark on a three game road trip against region foes Johnson University of Florida, Trinity College of Florida, and Trinity Baptist College.
The Eagles return home on January 16 at 7 p.m. to host Pensacola Christian College in another region game.
