With great sorrow for the loss of a fire warrior and a friend to all, I must inform you that retired CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Don Cockrum, Sr. passed away Nov. 21st. Chief Cockrum retired about 1999 from his last post, ATGS, at the Hemet-Ryan Air Attack Base.

I am providing more information following the passing of retired CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Don Cockrum, Sr. I have both spoken with and received written information from Chief Cockrum's son, CAL FIRE Division Chief Don Cockrum, Jr.

The Cockrum family will be honored for guests to attend the following services:
