PC Notes: The Blue Hose basketball team was in action last night at the Templeton Center as they hosted league leading High Point… High Point had a 31-28 lead at the half but pulled away in the second half to take a 63-54 win… For more information on the game, click here… The Lady Blue Hose last a heartbreaker 54-51 to Winthrop in Rock Hill last Saturday as they led all but the last 2 minutes of the game… For more information on the game, click here… The ladies will be back in action tonight as they host Campbell in a 7:00 pm contest… Why don’t you make plans to go out and see them tonight…

CHS… The JV basketball teams traveled Union County yesterday to take on the Yellow Jackets.
G: UC 19 – Clinton 11… Sorry no other details.
B: Clinton 42 – UC 35… The news was better in the second game at Union as the boys’ team got back on the winning track taking a 42-35 win…. Clinton led 14-4 after 1 quarter but UC cut the lead to 17-14 at the half… Clinton held a 27-25 going into the final quarter of play where they picked up both their offense and defense to take the win… Coach Eddie said “We played great defense and offense in the 4th to get the win… Zay Hurley, Tashymen Boyd, Dante Reeder and Jahleed Cook all played well tonight! However, it was a team effort and team win! I’m proud of all my team! Seven different players scored for CHS… Zay Hurley had 12 points to lead the team… Also scoring were Dante Reeder with 9 points, Tashymen Boyd 8, Jahleed Cook 6, Shimeek Gaskins 3, KoKo Richey 3 and Josh Williams had 1 point… The team’s record is now 11- 3 and 4-2 in the region.

Bell Street Red Wildcats @ Hickory Tavern Panthers
G: HT 22 – BSR 19… In girls action @ HT, BSR girls jumped out to a 6-0 lead at the end of the first quarter but then went cold as HT held them scoreless in the second quarter and took a 7-6 lead at the half in route to a 22-19 win over the Lady Wildcats… BSR fought back to take a 17-14 lead going into the final quarter but the lady Panthers outscored them 6-2 in the final 6 minutes to take the win… HT was led by Briana Cureton who had 11 points.. Also scoring for HT were Ty Foggie with 7 points, and both Katayah Foggie & Rachel Delio scored 2 points… For BSR the leading scorer was Shy Haskell with 8 points… Also scoring for the Lady Wildcats were Pera Moore with 3 pints, and both Latoria Johnson & Adaija Darby scored 2 points.
B: BSR 43 – HT 23… JD Payne had 13 points to lead BSR… Darien Bailey & Konnor Richardson added 7 points each.
Sanders Yellow Jackets @ Bell Street White
G: Sanders 26 – BSW 14…. Jada Turner led Sanders with 12 points… T’kaylah Woodruff had 8 points & Ja’daija Pinson 6 for Sanders.
B: BSW 31 – Sanders 29… The BSW boys’ team turned the tables taking a 31-29 win over Sanders to hand them just their second loss of the season… The game was tied 15 all at the half and the Wildcats took advantage of Sanders turnover to take the win…. Jordan Woodruff was high scorer for Sanders with 11 points.
Gray Court-Owings Tigers @ Honea Path
G: HP 55 – GCO 10… In the first game at HP, the HP girls took a 55-10 victory the girls from GCO… HP jumped out to an19-1 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back… Five different players scored 2 points each for GCO… They were Alexis Pressley, Paula Abrams, Priscilla Jaurequi, Deja Browm & Alexis McWhorter.
B: HP 52 – GCO 39… The HP boys’ team completed the sweep of GCO as they took a 52-39 win… HP led by 13 at the half and GCO was able to get within 8 at the start of the final period but could get no closer… Quintavis Larry had 11 points to lead GCO and Jamaurice Lee was also in double-digits with 10 points… Zavone Barksdale had 7 points, Dante’ Garrett 6, Nigel Owens 3 & Jamie Armstrong 2.

G: Belton 37 – LMS 31… In the first game at LMS, the Belton girls kept their undefeated streak alive as they took a 37-31 win over the Lady Tigers… The Lady Tigers played the Belton suad as tough as anyone this year losing by 4 the first time and 6 last night… Jada Young led LMS with 9 points… Cassidy Plaia & Aija Davis each added 8 points for the Lady Tigers.
B: LMS 48 – Belton 42… It was better news in the boys’ game as LMS took a 48-42 win over Belton… LMS had 2 players scoring in double digits with Michael McMahan scoring 15 and Javone Anderson 12… Christian Anderson added 9 points for LMS.
