CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Chattanooga woman was arrested Tuesday after a two-year investigation into human trafficking led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Myung Kim, 61, was arrested in Madison County, Alabama. The TBI says she is the owner of Royal Spa.
The investigation led authorities to Alabama after they executed search warrants at a home on Valley Ridge Road and apartment on Mountain Creek in Chattanooga.
Five more search warrants were executed in Madison County, Alabama, in the same investigation.
According to the TBI, this multi-jurisdictional operation is the result of shared information about human trafficking being exchanged between the two agencies—the Chattanooga Police Department and Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Kim, 61, was arrested and charged with promoting prostitution as a result.
She was booked into the Hamilton County jail in Tennessee. Her bond had not yet been determined at the time of this release.
