MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Three Oak Ridge High School football players were injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Blount County while they were on their way to practice, according to their coach.

Head Coach Joe Gaddis says two of the players are in critical condition at UT Medical Center.

The third player had a mild concussion and was treated and released from Blount Memorial Hospital.

Lamar Alexander Parkway was closed for several hours near John Helton Road due to the accident, which was reported around 3:30 p.m. The road reopened by 6 p.m. according to dispatch.
