A couple in Mobile is preparing as best they can for very life-changing arrivals! Lacy and Mark Sullivan are expecting quadruplets. Lacy is 24 weeks pregnant and is currently in pre-term labor at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital. She says, “We would like to get to 28 weeks. We would like to push it further… that would be great.” She is on strict bedrest at the hospital. She isn’t allowed to walk much, but is staying positive with a radiant smile.
Mark and Lacy have a two and a half-year-old daughter, Isabella, and wanted more children. They had a hard time getting pregnant with her and didn’t expect to get pregnant quickly. They were shocked to learn, after refusing expensive fertility treatments, they were pregnant with quadruplets. Lacy says, “We were stunned. Your eyes glaze over, and you don’t have any words. You don’t know what to say. You are in shock.” 
The Sullivans are expecting three girls and one boy. However, one of the girls, who they have named Angel, has a fatal brain condition called, Anencephaly, and is not expected to live beyond a few hours or days. This means the baby’s brain has not fully developed. The Sullivans say they accept “God’s will” for their little “Angel.”
Mark Sullivan says he is excited but nervous about the new arrivals. They have bought a new house to accommodate their growing family, but they still need a new car and other baby supplies. “We have always wanted a family. There are sacrifices we are willing to make.” He describes his wife as his “best friend,” and says he is “proud” of how she has handled a difficult pregnancy.
