GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) — Police in Anne Arundel County have arrested a suspect for theft inside a Gold’s Gym.
It happened in the 7900-block of Ritchie Highway on Dec. 9.
Police say a female member of the gym reported a woman in the locker room going through unsecured lockers.
The manager went to the locker room and observed the suspect, later identified as Shawna Lil Long of Baltimore.
The manager went and got the general manager. Police say the suspect was observed again going through unsecured lockers.
When confronted, the suspect denied taking anything. She left the gym at that time.
Officers located Long, 34, in the parking lot and retrieved a stolen diamond ring, cash and a debit card.
Long was placed under arrest and charged with theft under $10,000 and theft under $100.
Long had memberships at Gold’s Gym in Glen Burnie and Dundalk. The investigation continues.
