As you may know, some of our employees found a Long-Haired Dauchshund wondering the parking lot of the River Radio studios. Thanks to the power of social media and our friends and fans, we were able to reunite this lost dog with her owner. The loving little Dauchshund we got the brief opportunity to meet and know was named “Peanut”.
What we’re doing to help other animals:
We’ve decided to team up with TJ’s Fine Jewelry and Pappy’s Outdoors to help other animals who are not so lucky find loving, fur-ever homes. This feature is in dedication to Peanut, so check back every week to see what adoptable animals we are showcasing in “Peanut’s Pet of the Week”. Well, just feast your eyes on this handsome little dude! Jo Jo is a male Pekingese mix, and he’s just as cute as a button. He was 3 years old when he was brought to PAWS on 1-28-15. He was owner surrendered because his family could no longer care for him. Jo Jo says he understands why they couldn’t keep him,, and he’s ready to move on to a new family who will love him and let him live with them forever! He has a great disposition, he does well with other dogs, and he likes people! He will be lots and lots of company and tons of fun to have around the house! Beautiful baby Cutter is such a nice little puppy! He is a Beagle/Dachshund mix, and he was 10 weeks old when he ended up at PAWS on 2/11/15. His family didn’t get his mom spayed; she had puppies; and they didn’t want the puppies. Now this fine little fellow is looking for a home and family who will love him always and will let him live with them forever. Angel – American Bulldog
This is Angel. She is a 2 yr old American Bulldog who is good with other dogs and kids! However she tends to like the dogs more her size.

Tango is a short haired silver tabby cat who weighs 8 lbs and is a year and a half old. He is a curious cat who purrs when you hold and snuggle him. The antics of small children makes him a big nervous so he needs to go to a home that doesn’t have small children. Diamond – Lab & Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Diamond is a 40 lb lab/pit bull mix who is 2 yrs old and so sweet. Her owners moved and gave up their 2 dogs. She came in with a canine sister named Bindee, who is also available for adoption. Diamond truly sparkles as she is dog cat and kid friendly. She is completely housebroken and this girl has several tricks up her paws. Diamond knows how to sit, shake, lay down, roll over and gives high fives! You will be amazed at how sweet she and her sister Bindee is when you meet them. What a perfect family dog for everyone!

Brutus – Lab/Pointer Mix
Brutus is a 6 year old Lab/Pointer mix, weighing in at 85 pounds. Brutus was a stray picked up by animal control and no one ever picked him up, so now this big boy is at Perry County Humane Society.
He’s strong and can pull you around when he’s hyper, but he listens well. Let him know who is boss and he’ll sit at your feet…then he’ll jump up and give you a hug.
