Kenneth Tucker

Kenneth Tucker, 87, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:05 p.m. on Feb. 26 at his residence.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kenneth was born on Oct. 1, 1928 in Bristol, England, a son of Henry and Emily Beatrice Riley. He married Margaret Clark on April 6, 1949 in Bristol England.

Surviving is his wife, Margaret Tucker of Bloomington; two daughters, Anne Ulm of Bloomington and Elizabeth Kidd of Mansfield, Texas; six grandchildren, Heather (Nicholas) Jamison of Chicago, Benjamin (Cynthia) Cole of Tyler, Texas, Aaron (Rachel) Cole of Ft. Worth, Texas, Hannah Cole of Ft. Worth, Jonathan Cole, of Mansfield; David Cole of Mansfield; three great grandchildren, Claire Cole, Felicity Cole and Audrey Cole; and a sister, Sheila Tincknell of Bristol, England.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 6 brothers and sisters.

Kenneth proudly served in the Royal Air Force. He was employed as an engineer at General Electric for many years.

He enjoyed watching Bristol City Soccer.

Kenneth was loved and will be dearly missed.

Steven Bromley

Steven J. Bromley, 47, of Pekin, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 1:54 a.m. on Feb. 28 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Steven was born on June 23, 1968 in Urbana, a son of Richard J. and Mary Opperman Bromley.

Surviving are his parents, Richard and Mary Bromley of Bloomington; a brother, Michael Bromley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Linda (Dan) Gerber of Bowling Green, Ohio; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Peggy Willner

Peggy J. Willner, 77, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:42 p.m. on Feb. 29 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Her funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Thomas Wirsing officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service on Friday at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to

Peggy was born on Aug. 29, 1938 in Wesleyan, Georgia, a daughter to Luther and Clarence Way Layton. She married Merrial E. “Sonny” Willner on Nov. 20, 1960 in Warner Robins, Georgia.

In addition to her husband, Sonny of Bloomington; she is survived by two daughters, Carla (Steve) Pinneke of Bloomington and Merle (Doug) Orwig of Normal; three granddaughters, Lauren (Chuck) Johnson, Josephine and Olivia Orwig; and sisters in-law, MaryAnn Layton and Betty Layton, both of Gordon, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three sisters and three brothers in-law.

Peggy was employed for many years as a file clerk within the government. She later worked at Alexander Lumber Company in Bloomington, retiring in 2004.

She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Dorcas Circle. Peggy enjoyed teaching the special education Sunday School class for many years.

Peggy enjoyed quilting, cross stitching and doing puzzles. She made many quilts for the Lutheran World Relief.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three granddaughters. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

George Yelliott

George W. Yelliott, 62, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:30 a.m. in Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family inurnment will be at a later date in Eldred Memorial Gardens in Eldred, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

George was born on Sep. 20, 1953 in Jacksonville, a son to Fred and Neva Coonrod Yelliott.

Surviving is one sister, Sharon Ridgeway in Bloomington; one brother, Johnny Yelliott of Bloomington; one son, Kenneth Williams of Bloomington and one daughter, Chrissy Yelliott of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Yelliott.

George was employed as a handyman in construction.

He enjoyed fixing things and cooking. George loved animals, he had a big heart, he would help anyone.
