LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 20-year-old Lockport woman lands herself in trouble with the law after her reckless driving results in a three-car crash.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says someone called them reporting a person driving erratically in the area of Keck Road and East High Street Saturday afternoon.
The driver, Alexis Cruz, apparently started to follow the caller’s vehicle.
Deputies tried stopping Cruz as she led them on a chase, and ran a red light. She ended up hitting two other cars at the intersection of Akron and Davison Roads.
People in each vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Cruz has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and other pending charges.
The Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit will continue the investigation.
