INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Area school districts are in the process of scheduling extra instructional days to make up for missed school days.

Students have missed anywhere from three to 11 school days because of the snow and extreme cold temperatures. The State Department of Education provided many districts with one or two day waivers.  However, the remaining missed days must be added into the school year calendar.

Below is an alphabetical list of school districts who responded to 24-Hour News 8′s request for information on the make-up days. Their responses reflect the school’s position as of Feb. 11 and could change based on additional school delays and closures:

Avon Schools, 4 make-up days, making them up on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, and two added to end of the year

Brown County Schools, 9 make-up days, making them up Feb. 17, April 18, April 21, May 27-30, June 2-3

Brownsburg CSC, 5 make-up days, making them up June 2-5, plus one day TBD

Carmel Clay, 3 make-up days. School board voted to extend the school day for one hour from March 6 through the end of the school year.

Center Grove schools, 4 make-up days, making them up Feb. 17, June 2-4

Danville CSC, 5 make-up days, making three up with built in days in April, one on May 30, one on June 2

Decatur Township, 4 make-up days, making them up Feb. 17, May 23, June 5-6

Elwood, days TBD

Franklin Community Schools, 4 make-up days, making them up March 14, May 27-29

Franklin Township Community School Corp. board voted to extend the school day by 10 minutes from March 3 to May 30

Greenwood CSC, 4 make-up days, making them up Feb. 14, April 18, April 21, May 29

Hamilton Southeastern, 4 make-up days, making them up Feb. 18, May 30, June 2-4

IPS, 5 make-up days, making them up March 24, May 23, June 11, plus two days TBD

Maconaquah Schools, 11 make-up days. School system has asked the state for waivers for all 11 days. Barring a waiver, the first week of spring break will be used for make-up days and the school year will be extended through June 4

Marion, 7 make-up days, dates TBD

MSD of Martinsville, 2 make-up days, school board voted to extend the school day for one hour from Feb. 19 until March 14 for a total of 18 days.

Monroe County CSC, 5 make-up days, three make-up days built into school calendar, decision pending on remaining two days

Mooresville Schools, 7 make-up days, making them up on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, and five make-up days built into school calendar

Mt. Vernon CSC, 5 make-up days, making them up Feb. 17, March 17-20

North White, 6 make-up days, making them up Feb. 14, Feb. 17, April 18, April 21, June 2

Perry Township Schools, 5 make-up days, dates TBD

Rush County Schools, 7 make-up days, four make-up days built into calendar, extending school days on Wednesdays, adding one day to the end of the year

Shelbyville Central Schools, 5 make-up days, dates built into school calendar

CSC Southern Hancock County, 6 make-up days, making them up on Jan. 20, Feb. 17 and at the end of the school year

Southwestern CSD, 7 make-up days, making them up Feb. 17, April 21, May 26-30

Taylor Community Schools, 10 make-up days, either adding to the end of the school year or adding an hour to every school day

MSD of Washington Township, one make-up day on Feb. 17 and others are added to the end of the school year

Wayne Township, 3 make-up days, making them up Feb. 17, June 6, extra hour March 4, March 6, March 11, March 13, March 18, March 20

Zionsville, 5 make-up days, dates TBD
