My college name is JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore. Full name is Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore.
It was established in 1997 and managed by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The campus is located in on a hilly and picturesque 21 acre campus, surrounded by lush green plantation, on the Uttarahalli-Kengeri main road within close proximity to Rajarajeshwari nagar on the south western edge of Bangalore City. The college is approved and accredited by All India council of education as well as The National Board of Accreditation.

Key achievements of my college :
JSSATE, Bangalore was established the JSS Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park under the INDIAN SOCIETIES REGISTRATION ACT 1860. It was registered as a Society on 10 January 2003 in January 2001.
In the year 2003, the college was ranked 8th among the engineering colleges in Karnataka by BITES, an autonomous organization under the Government of Karnataka.
In Aug 2005 JSSATE commissioned a bio fuel plant with support from the Government. The straight vegetable oil (SVO) produced by the plant run the academy’s buses by blending 10 per cent of SVO with diesel.
In the year 2005 – JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore, set up the “Advanced Jewellery Design Technology Centre” in the JSSATE campus in collaboration with the government of Karnataka.
In a 2007 ranking of private engineering colleges in India by OUTLOOK (magazine) (June 11, 2007 edition) JSSATE was ranked 50.
2007, the college established The IEEE JSSATE regional branch after the Department of Electronics and Communication received the letter of approval from Managing Director , INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEER (AIEEE) Regional Activities , PISCATAWAY , New jersey . The student branch has got a certificate of appreciation for being one of the most active student branches in Karnataka.
On Jan 20th 2010, the college inaugurated the ‘JSS KSCA Cricket Ground’. Former Indian cricketers Gundappa Viswanth (GR Viswanath) and Anil kumble, HH Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji and Karnataka state cricket association president Srikanth Wadiyar were present during the inauguration.
In a 2011 ranking of top 75 engineering colleges in India by OUTLOOK (Magazine) (June 23, 2011 edition) JSSATE was ranked 73 all over INDIA.
In a 2013 ranking of top 75 engineering colleges in India by OUTLOOK (magazine) (July 1, 2013 edition) JSSATE was ranked 73.
Students’ Achievements:
In June 2005 – team ‘Famous Four’ from Department of Computer Science and Engineering was amongst the finalist representing India out of total 278 world-wide teams in Windows challenge (Organized by Microsoft in association with the Computer Society of the IEEE). Final event was conducted in Microsoft’s Redmond, Washington campus. Team’s idea (named after nightingale) was based upon a novel approach towards ‘Emergency Medical Response system’.
In May 2010,Team Agni from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, participated in the Formula SAE , Michigan and were one of the only two teams from INDIA .
In October 2010,Team Zduhac from the Department of Mechanical Engineering won the consolation prize for the Glider built according to Problem statement of competition named “The Wright Design” sponsored by AIRBUS at Shaastra IIT madras (Indian institute of technology, Madras Technical fest) out of the 54 teams that participated.
Students have fared well in VTU examinations and secured university ranks – ECE (one student), CSE (three students), IEM (six students) its alumni are represented in industry and institutes of higher learning.
Technical and Cultural Activities:
In April–May every year JSSATE organizes its intercollegiate Techno-cultural Fest – VERVE which means energy started in the year 2005. It is held for 2 days with several technical and cultural events completely managed by students. Several noted persons have been invited to VERVE during the years. Recently, Neeraj Sridhar performed live in the year 2012.
Computer Research for Engineering Students which is the technical club started by the students of the Department of computer science engineering organizes its annual technical fest Continuum. Started in the year 2004 by the students, it consists of events ranging from paper presentations, mock product launches, talks and technical contests. Post 2011, CREST. Has taken the responsibility of organizing Continuum annually.
JSSATE IGNOU Study Centre
. The study centre offers a three year B-Tech program in Mechanical Engineering JSSATE is a study centre for IGNOU launched in 1999.

The focus is given to every individual and there is no biased controversy on north and south Indian group, I think this should be the first point to mention as I have never seen such things in my college… there is a great harmony without the teachers and students and everyone is being focused in the limelight of their talent, caste as well as community biased things are in zero figure and has no relevance to my college.
Quality of education is not compromised and every teacher has to deliver its 100% skill to mould the future of student and teachers are well trained and are masters in their field . A total student friendly environment persists in the college and teachers can fulfil all the queries generated by the students , qualification of every teacher has sound image and they are holding masters degree in their field as well as they are many PhD holders faculties .
I believe the college has one of most generous and kind hearted principal , Mr. M.V latte is one of most student friendly person , being at the top level of management how he handles student tiny problems and solves efficiently as well is really a great endeavour by honourable principle sir.
Since the college is established and beaconed by the spiritual and holy eminent people , the moral values for Hinduism in every cultural and in every college activities is clearly shown , under the holiness of jss the college is keen to forward in every possible aspects either be in growth or be in increasing to talents numbers to a higher amount . It has full vegetarian canteen with items sold at the cheapest cost and the whole campus bounds to cause religious emotions as well as the famous OMKAR temple beacons the path of development to the college.
There is no black money policy running in our college as every members of college faculty and fraternity is honest and they don’t extract unusual money from the student . There is no fine for late comers nor any fine for students having sort of attendance , although strict warning is given to students and they have to fulfil 75% attendance still they cases like detain and year back due to attendance is less than 5 % .
Compare to other colleges who add extra charges for late fee submission and for granting attendance, Jss never fine any student for such cases and HENCE IT PROVED THAT IT IS THE BEST STUDENT FRIENDLY INSTITUTION ALL OVER KARNATAKA.

It has MECHANICAL lab equipment of worth more than 30 crores and it has latest machines in its laboratory
Civil labs are having extensive ranges of equipments which help students to navigate those technologies for their betterment and are equally well trained instructors to train students.
Computer science department and information science department almost covers the 2nd floor of the college building with its huge computer labs all over the floor
It has almost more than 1200 computers for both the departments alone .
More than 200 computers are there for mechanical labs and auto cad labs .
There are wide ranges of computers in all other labs also and each computer is connected to the sever and every computer is internet enabled .
Every branches has full labs and there has been never any shortage case till now as RESOURCES ARE MORE THAN STUDENT STRENGTH.

JSS has unique department called jewellery engineering and architecture labs which processes diamonds arts and designs as well latest design of jewellery which is totally different and it uses techniques and most sophisticated designs can be achieved by the tools and perfection of trainer and a trainee.
Honest and well qualified trainers and lab attendants solve problems related to computers issue as soon as possible and THEY KNOW ALL 3 LANGUAGES , HINDI , KANNADA AND ENGLISH , and they are very polite towards the student.
There are lots of other labs and this college fulfils the every requirement of student and makes room for their explore.

Other colleges may have attractive corporate buildings and radiant infrastructure but the essence of beauty of jss college is completely mesmerising and it can’t be compared with any one as WE COMPARE THINGS THEY HAVE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO EACH OTHER BUT JSS CANT BE COMPARED ATLEAST NOT IN NATURAL BEAUTY TERMS , ITS INDISPENSEARABLE
The total greenery and eco friendly techniques and the complete view of OMKAR temple mesmerize the visitors.
In my photo it is really depicted how the ground staffs and workers covered the pitch from the on fall of rain , the lush green field provide ample opportunities to go beyond and play with hearts and talent as there is no one to stop the dreams overflowing for the students of JSSATE .
I have already mentioned the students achievement lists which Proves that student have natural blessing to grow and prosper in the best institute of the Bangalore, the photo also portraits the red tall building of JSS which is its main academic unit and there are lots of other buildings which comprises of JSS Hostel, departments, Jewellery house, machine shops, library etc.
Student to teacher ratio is maintained well and every cases of vacancy are fulfilled at a very short time.
JSS cricket grounded has got financial help from BCCI and KARNATKA CRICKET COUNCIL and it is a lush green pitch which meets every short of international standards and it is maintained by college as well as BCCI , in the above pics, the lawn mower is provides by BCCI only .

JSS has 2 fields and one meets the international standards and other meet the standards for football and basketball Requirements.
There is every scope of growth enhancement in JSS and one can never find any difficulties in growth if they have talent and they put in an honest way.
The traditional south Indian costumes to modern western culture costumes and attires put the college in depicting the cultural diversity and harmony of cultures inside the college. Teachers talk in Hindi if the north Indian student face problem in English and they are very friendly and polite to them , emphasis is made more to enable student to cope with the exam burden and make them understand the topics as allow them to explore them more in the fields they belong and to solve the queries of student . Student and teachers perform in hand in hand in any cultural or fest related academics.
Comparing other colleges in book stocks and library , JSS has library which meets the world class stands and has more than 10 lacks books as it is 2 floored library with individual sections of each departments as well as special cubical for group and individual studies . It has digital library too with more than 100 computers connected with internet at high speed and whole premises is wifi enabled and its huge library can organise any regional activities or placement activities . Library is a great asset to college and it’s equally responsible for student’s growth as it provides facilities to explore beyond the syllabus and beyond the scope of books.

JSS library has centrally ac halls for presentation and events and management is really awesome and really a complete education environment to grow and cherish the moments.
Not only in theoretical aspects but in practical aspects to the teachers are well known and at home in their field, their qualification is generally M.Tech and they are real engineer in their fields.
The building manufacturing is designed and carried out by the professors of civil department only and by viewing the design one can amazed and equally trust the fundamentals of college on which it really proves that it’s an engineering college practically too as it not only teaches but also believes in implementation .
Similarly the professors of computer science engineering builds new software for college and creates new web pages and enables security measures and protects the confidential data from hacking, the library system management software as well as software for account section are designed by them only and hence I can prove that almost everyone is pioneer in their respective fields and parents can trust the institution as their wards will be given onto the hands of well qualified gurus.
JSS college has superb hostel facilities for girls and boys and it is well equipped with WIFI, ultra modern GYM, north as well as south Indian mess with quality food, two playing campuses where all sorts of outdoor games can be played and it has TV room where it consists of big LED screen TV for recreational activities of student, it has special TT (table tennis) room and its 4 storey building and it is too designed by the professors of civil department.
Uniqueness lies in the feature of student freedom in living and food choices , where ALMOST EVERY COLLEGE STUDENTS COMPLAINS ABOUT THE FOOD , THEY ARE NO COMPLAINTS IN FOOD IN JSS HOSTEL MESS AS IT SERVES DELICIOUS NORTH AND SOUTH INDIAN dishes .
Same as girls’ hostel is equally equipped with facilities and tight security is maintained for girls and intruders are always blocked by the alertness of security staffs.
JSS College is one of the safest colleges and one can’t enter the college premises without ID card and their vehicle details are noted at the front gate and walls are too high for one to jump and get in.
Apart from academics the college equally pays attention to the recreational activities and every year in even semesters VERVE is organized and college spent at lot of money in VERVE celebration, approx 50 to 80 lacks are spent in the verve alone and college pays the money in a major amount, where as college attracts a large number of companies which provide financial aids to college fest in return college advertise their names during events of the fest.
Every branch too organises its fest and students participates in huge numbers and their enthusiasm is really awesome to note.
Students and teachers are awarded too in verve events with cash prizes and medals.
I have also organized events in department as well as college fest and still I am a core volunteer in VERVE events.
Every year live concert is organized at the end of the fest and that is the major attraction of the city as JSS ALWAYS CALLS A TOP LEVEL CELEBRITY IN THEIR CONCERTS AND THAT’S WHY JSS FEST IS REGARDED AS BEST FEST OF VTU AND BANGALORE.
Bollywood celebrities arrive at the music concerts as Neeraj Sridhar, Benny dayal of music industry of bollywood came to JSS and it attracted a huge crowd and it was well maintained.
HERE the thing that is unique with my college while comparing other college is that MY COLLEGE NEVER TOOK ANY TICKET FEES FOR THE VISITORS WHEN THEY CONDUCT LIVE MUSIC CONCERTS AND THE GENORISITY IS REALLY REMARKABLE AS NO OTHER COLLEGE ORGANIZES THESE EVENTS AND THIS COST AND THEY ALWAYS CHARGES FOR VISITIORS .
The unique feature is that JSS is blessed with the natural beauty and it has IDLY LAKE inside its campus , having a lake at such a great height is really astonishing and surprising , the waters of lake is use to irrigate the plants and grasses in the college premises .
The serves as the best place to sit and look at the beautiful water and tree around the lake, nests of various different birds and their chirruping adds the scenery and it is soothing to heart as cool breezes from lake relaxes the state of mind of students and they find themselves in the lap of nature and certainly nature cares everyone there.

The best thing is that the water maintained in the lake is recycled in the plant inside college , there is big plant of water recycling process where water from the sewages and college buildings specially waste water is treated in the plant and it is made purified by the internal plant process and then it is left to go in idly lake , and those waters are used to irrigate the grasses , used in toilets , for flowers and in many processes so the water being used every day is recycled and treated and it is again used , such a great mind in utilizing resources and such an efficient utilization of natural resources are bound to make student feel proud of their college .
The lake is also use to cultivate different varieties of fishes and the boat is used in the cleaning purpose or for the sake entertainment, nowhere in The heart of Bangalore one can see the two most contrasting things… one is technically so advanced aspect and other is rich natural beauty, it seems nature has bestowed its all blessings to only JSS.
According to science , the duck the special membrane to filter water and make it pure as it feeds on the dirt of the water , using the same principle IDLY lake has 4 ducks which serves the lake and make it pure and attractive
Being the student of this college JSSATE , I feel immense pleasure to write about my college which is my perspective and I feel glad and proud to be the part of this college which not only best institution but also a great platform to explore talents and college moulds the future of the students who want perfection in their professional life and college acts like a divine place of students who really worship education and it’s really a temple who really find education as prayer and it’s definitely a sports arena for those who are involved in sports as it provides every facilities , JSS is a stage for acting as well as performing too as it gives ample opportunities to venture In the field of modelling as well as acting as it sets stage for such talents , for me JSS is a machine which is molding my future in the direction I wanted and I am proud to be the part of such institution and I will always cherish my days in college as it’s the best college and my college life will be the best moments of my life .
