I always promise that I will write more posts about makeup, but I end up sharing way more skincare items, right? I'm sorry...But Today, I'm finally able to write my two cents about a veeeery known product from the famous Etude House, that many seem to like. I'm talking about the Color Lips Fit!
Questi prodotti per labbra possono essere considerati a metà strada tra un rossetto e una tinta. Non sono un rossetto vero e proprio per via della loro texture che va da liquido a polvere....e sì, avete letto bene, polvere! Sono però state sviluppate come lip tint; quindi per lasciare colore sulle labbra ed essere longlasting. Sono matte, un finish che fino a qualche annetto fa non si trovava fra i prodotti coreani, ma che è diventato di moda anche lì, nonostante essi preferiscano il finish glossy. Nella gamma di colori disponibili non c'è molto fra cui scegliere, non c'è variazione: sono quasi tutti colori accesi e neon (sia rosati che aranciati). Il color berry è l'unico che possiamo considerare "scuro". E' disponibile anche un top coat, che da quello che leggo è un semplice lipgloss trasparente.
These lips products can be considered halfway through a lip-tint and a lipstick. They're not properly a lipstick because of their unique texture that goes liquid to powder... yes, you read well, to powder! They've been developed as "lip tints!, so to stain the lips and be as longlasting as they can. They're also matte, which is a kind of finish that wasn't common in korean lip products some years ago, but that has become a thing even there, even though koreans still prefer glossy lips. In the range of colors there isn't a lot of variation, we have the typical bright oranges and pink colors that are common in every brand color range, and the dark berry is the only "dark" shade. There is also a top coat available, which is a plain lipgloss from what I can read online.
Il packaging non ha niente di fantastico, ed è molto meno carino di tanti altri prodotti di Etude House. In un primo momento la tinta/rossetto è molto molto liquida ed ha una consistenza super leggera, anche se se lo si stende con le dita sembra un po' polverosa...E' come avere polvere mescolata al liquido. La prima cosa da fare è shakerare la confezione, poi si può applicare. Dopo pochi minuti il rossetto diventa matte, ma restando però leggero sulle labbra. Ovviamente, siccome il finish è matte, non idratano, e lasciano le labbra abbastanza disidratate. Essendo liquide, prima di diventare polvere, potete comunque ottenere un bell'effetto gradient quando sono liquide e si sfumano facilmente. Sono stratificabili grazie alla formula leggera, ma essendo opache e coprenti, non avete bisogno di fare più strati.
The packaging has nothing fancy, and it's really less girly than other products from the same brand. At first, the lip tint is very liquid and has a thin consistency, even if when you blend it with your fingers it feels kind of powdery... It's like having powders inside the liquid. After some minutes they dry into a matte finish, and they still keep their thin and weightless texture. Of course, since they're matte, they can feel a bit drying and powdery on the lips. So, to use these lip tints you have to shake them well before use, then, you can apply as much as you want. Since they are liquid to powder, you can achieve the gradient lips easily anyway, even if they're not water-based lip tints. They are super buildable, but since they give immediate even coverage, you don't need to build up the color.
Comparandole con le loro sorelline più famose, le Lipnicure di Clio, devo dire che impiegano molto meno tempo nell'asciugarsi, e sono molto più leggere sulle labbra. Una cosa positiva è che, siccome sono molto leggere, non tendono a fare accumuli. Hanno un range di colore più accesi e vividi, ma credo che in generale i colori delle Lipnicure siano più portabili, e più vicini alle tendenze occidentali... In oriente si preferiscono colori più accesi, ma è anche vero che da noi, colori come Candy Yum Yum di Mac vanno a ruba. Penso sia comunque più facile portare colori non Neon, per questo non avrei mai comprato le Color Lips Fit di mia spontanea volontà. Le lipnicure di Clio durano molto di più però, e non macchiano gli oggetti e non si spostano neanche pagate. Però, la formulazione è diversa e mi piace meno di quella delle lips fit. Ovviamente non sto a dirvelo...Le Lips Fit, così come le Lipnicure, enfatizzano le labbra secche, ma molto di meno di queste ultime.
Compared to their famous sisters, the Clio Lipnicures, I must say that these Color Lips Fit take less time to get dry, and their formula is less heavy on the lips. A positive thing is that, because they're liqghtweight, they don't tend to pile up. They also have more vivid and bright colors, but honestly I think the Lipnicure are more wearable in therms of western "standards". I think it's easier for us to pull out a red or darker colors, than such a vivid and neon shades! But of course, it's also a person's preference, because colors such as Candy Yum Yum from Mac are best sellers anyway. Clio Lipnicure lasts longer and don't transfer, but as I said, they tend to be heavy on the lips and pile up. Both formulas are quite drying, and enhanches dry lines and flaky lips....sadly. The Lips Fit emphasize dry lips less, though.
Non capisco perchè chiamarle "liptints" quando, per i miei standard, la formula è quella dei rossetti liquidi. Infatti la formula è simile ad altri rossetti liquidi, risultando coprente sin da subito...e non c'è assolutamente nessuno stain. Non lasciano colore. Ovviamente, avendo una texture polverosa e secca non sono il massimo per le mie labbra secche. Però durano molto, considerando che non ho mangiato niente di oleoso, questa mi è durata 6 ore. Resta molto vivida e pigmentata, però si formano un po' di pezzettini di colore accumulato nell'interno delle labbra, dove le si corruga di più, ma penso sia normale. Non sono waterproof, e non resistono per nulla all'olio; tendono a macchiare bicchieri, e a svanire (non a pezzi) se si mangia cibo unto. Penso che il prezzo ora sia okay, visto quanto costa in generale un rossetto liquido di altri brands. A parte i normalissimi svantaggi di questo genere di prodotto, e il fatto che abbiano solo colori neon, sono comunque dei rossetti interessanti e un buon investimento se siete fissate con i prodotti labbra!
I don't understand why calling them "lip tints" when, for my standards, they are liquid lipsticks. In fact, the formula looks like the one of many liquid lipsticks, it's very opaque from the very beginning and...it doesn't give a stain! It's a very powdery yet lightweight product, but it's not the best for my lips because they're dry. They are really dry, but they last, and I've worn my Color Lips fit for six hours...the pigmentation was still here, even after hours, yet there were some chunky pieces in my inside mouth. Also, they're not waterproof or oily proof, they tend to transfer on glasses and go away with greasy food. I think the price is okay right now , considering that a lot of brands made their liquid lipstick. Besides the few normal cons, and the fact that there are only super bright neon colors, they are an interesting product that is a nice investment if you are a lip junkie!
