Describe your blog:
Project Soiree is a collection of food, fashion, interior design and some of my favorite finds across the web. I try to bring a little something to the party that everyone will enjoy whether it’s a delicious recipe for Coconut Macaroons or an outfit post incorporating bright red heels. My goal is to inspire people and create a space that reflects some of my favorite things.
What is your favorite post you’ve written or your favorite series/type of post?
My favorite series is “What I’m Reading Now” that features some of my favorite influential bloggers. This series has been amazing to learn more about bloggers on a personal level.
What is something you wish you knew how to do related to blogging?
I would love to learn more about photography for capturing my outfit posts or photos of my kitchen creations. There’s so much to learn with photography that I don’t know where to start!
Why did you start blogging?
After reading blogs for a few years I finally took the leap and started my own blog when I moved to Chicago in 2011. I intended for Project Soiree to be a creative outlet, but I truly value the friendships and opportunities that developed as a result of starting my blog.
What is your favorite social platform?
My favorite social platform is Instagram. I think it’s fun and creative to capture unexpected moments through photos.
What are a few of your favorite Chicago blogs?
There are so many talented bloggers in Chicago that it’s almost impossible to narrow down my favorites! Some of my daily reads include Cedar and Rush, Toe That Line, Sparkles and Sprinkles, Heart of Chic, and Color Me Styled.
