Windsor Public Library has expanded its services with a new digital collection web site experience just for kids called the eReading Room for Kids. The main digital collection, windsor.lib.overdrive.com, now has a separate site to provide a safe, friendly, and easy browsing experience for children.

To access the eReading Room for Kids, visit the Windsor Public Library web site, click on eResources, click on Databases, and under For Kids & Teens, click on eReading Room for Kids.

WPL recognizes the need to provide a safe environment for children to browse library materials. Just as the children’s section of our physical library branches have their own sectioned areas, the same experience is now available in the digital collection. This appealing and user-friendly page contains eBooks, audiobooks, and music. Browsing can be done by subject, reading level, and interest level.

The eReading Room for Kids filters the overall digital collection to show only Children’s and Young Adult content, which makes it faster for kids to get to the titles they want. This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free for users with a Windsor Public Library card. Digital titles are available anytime, anywhere and expire automatically, so there’s no need to worry about due dates or late fees.

WPL is excited about the eReading Room for Kids and invites you to visit its new collection at eReading Room for Kids.
